Finescale 0, 0-XF, 0-MF, 0-SF, Scaleseven

Finescale 0 Gauge - 32mm gauge - running can be improved over larger radius turnouts by tightening up some of the clearances and gauge, especially if you are using Slaters wheels exclusively, as the clearances are over-generous in 0 Finescale.

There have been several variations on this theme:
0-XF - 31mm gauge with clearances to match Scaleseven (S7) - large radius turnouts with Slaters wheels only.
0-SF - 31.2mm gauge clearances slightly more generous
0-MF - 31.5mm gauge.

Timbering:- ABS Plastic or Plywood.
·
Rail:- Flat Bottom or Bullhead - Steel or Nickel Silver.
·
Chairs mainly either C&L or Exactoscale.
·
If plywood timbers are selected with plastic chairs, for an additional cost of £10.00 per turnout, the rail can be soldered to rivets on the slidechair timbers.

For Flat-bottom track various options are available.
·
All rivet construction can be chosen for plywood timbering but at additional cost of a 1/3.
·
In all cases the the common crossing is soldered and the point blades are anchored to stock rails by pcb strips.
·
At an additional cost of £10.00 per pair of switch blades, switch rail anchors can be added (where prototypical).
·
Droppers fitted. Turnouts are DCC Friendly.
·
Stretcher bars are normally my own design for use with centrally below mounted type point motors but if you want something else that is OK too.
·
Pointwork complexes and layouts can also be designed and/or produced with the aid of Templot(see below).
·
Plain track can also be supplied, please specify type of chair and panel length, Priced at the equivalent of £10.50 per half metre.

Other formations such as Barry Slips and outside slips can also be built.

I can also design your track plan and forward the file to you for your use , using Templot but you have to have a valid Templot licence and be a member of the Templot club. For more information on Templot see www.Templot.com.

Whilst I do base my charges on how long I expect to take to design the layout, a 50% reduced rate applies where I also build the pointwork for you. Obviously, if you make too many design changes there may be additional charges to accommodate them.
