New - Underboard Point Actuator.
- Suitable for points having a tiebar suitable for operation from the centre e.g. Peco
- Easily adapted for different gauges
- Easy to Install
- Suitable for use by either manual operation or by the use of a slow motion point motor or servo
- Polarity micro switches can be easily added.
- Either Metal or Plastic bodied versions can be supplied - your choice.
O.K. Why would you want to use these? You could of course use a slow motion point motor such as Tortoise or Cobalt so why?
Well:
- Cost - Price is £2.00 plus P&P - compare that to a point motor of any type, though of course you still need either a lever or some other means of moving the points
- Very Low Profile - less than a typical solenoid motor - Any point motor is going to need headroom under the baseboard especially the slow motion ones
- You want to use servo motors for economy, slow-motion and quietness - no problem
- Manual Operation - maybe you don't want or need a point motor - simplifies the act of transmitting the throw to under the baseboard.
- Flexibility in adding micro switches for polarity switching etc.
